This book explains ?r?la Prabhup?da�s understanding of the meaning of ?ik?? for his followers. The association of Vai??avas and the instructions they impart, ?ik??, are the assured means of success for spiritual practitioners. This is the injunction of ??stra. However, ?r?la Prabhup?da observed that when his followers received instructions outside ISKCON, their devotional practises, for various reasons, became impaired. He therefore directed his followers to take ?ik?? solely from ISKCON�s members.
