pañca-tattvānvitaṁ nityaṁ praṇipatya mahaprabhum /

nāmnā sanmodanaṁ-śikṣāṣtaka-bhāşyaṁ praṇīyate ||

Offering continual respects to Mahāprabhu possessing Pañca-tattva, I write a commentary of śikṣāṣtaka named Sammodana-bhāsyam.

gaurānga-vaktrābja-vinisytań śrī-śikṣāṣtakaṁ ye prapathanti bhaktyā te gaura-pādāsava-mugdha-cittāḥ majjanti premāmbu-nidhau murāreḥ

Those who recite with devotion the śikṣāṣtaka which arose from the mouth of Gaurānga will sink in the ocean of prema for Krsna, their hearts joyful with the nectar of Gaurānga's feet.
