Patropadesa (Patra-letter, upadesa � instruction, advice) consists of selected correspondence with disciples and other devotees. Bhakti Vikasa Swami has been aware for many years that some of the content of his letters to individuals might be useful for others also, so he has been collecting relevant texts with the intention of later publishing these in a book format. You are just about holding that book in your hand. This compilation is intended mostly to his disciples and those who are familiar and comfortable with Bhakti Vikasa Swami�s stringent approach to Krsna consciousness. Many of the letters in this book deal with grave and sensitive topics and therefore offer insights into the practical application of the teachings of Krsna consciousness in today�s highly disturbed world. This book evidences that gurus in ISKCON must contend with many weighty topics and do not, as some persons seem to believe, merely bask in adulation. �Taste will come if you follow.
