Murari Gupta Kadaca - bhaktah śrīvāsa-nāmā dvija-kula-kamala-prollasac-citra-bhānuh prāhedań śri-murārim tvam iha vada hareh śri-caritram navīnam / tasyajñām akalayya prakata-kara-putais tam namaskrtya bhūyah tas śrimac-caitanya-mūrteh kali-kalusa-harāṁ kirtim āha svayam sah ||

The devotee named Śrīvāsa, the amazing sun shining in on the lotus of the brāhmaṇa families, said to Murāri, “Describe the fresh pastimes of the Lord.” Hearing his order, offering respects to him repeatedly with folded hands, Murāri speaks the glories of Caitanya which destroy the contamination of Kali-yuga.

“Please narrate this astonishing attractive story which purifies the world. By hearing it, people are freed from the terrible faults of samsāra.

sarva-śakti-mayaḥ sākṣāt paramānanda-dāyakah ||

In Kali-yuga, kirtana is the best dharma, helping all people. It is endowed with all śaktis and directly bestows the highest bliss.
